Item Details
A pair of watercolor and gouache paintings on paper of European cityscapes. The pair includes a delicate rendering of Venice, as seen from just above the level of a canal, and what seems to be a hillside cobblestone street looking out toward a densely-populated city. These paintings appear to be signed and dated ‘Claude 38’ and ‘G. Suhre 88’ to their lower right corners, and are double-matted under glass in warmly-stained wooden frames with wires for hanging.
Condition
- sticker residue to glass at lower left corner of one frame; light wear to frame finishes.
