1985 Halley's Comet Commemorative Brass Telescope
Item Details
A brass telescope commemorating the appearance of Halley’s Comet in 1985. The barrel of this telescope is marked with a stylized comet design and the text ‘The Return of Halley’s Comet / 1985 – 1986’, and the telescope is presented in a wooden box with a plaque reading ‘The Return of Halley’s Comet / 1985 – 1986 / No. AM 2216’. The telescope is also marked ‘Japan’ with the letters ‘TA’ in a diamond-shaped logo.
