A hand painted, engraved metal plate titled Music Hath Charms by English artist George Adolphus Storey (1834 – 1919). This engraved plate depicts a woman listening to a gentleman sing or hum his sheet musics’ composition as he sits against the tree. This piece is dated in plate ‘1857’ to the lower left corner. It is presented behind a cream colored linen mat in a cream colored, carved, distressed wood frame with gilt accent trim. A Certificate of Authenticity by the Collier Art Corporation is affixed to the verso.

Condition

- some wear, scratching, chipping, and denting to the frame to be expected with age and use.
