Chinese Hand-Painted Wooden Plaques with Resin Accents
Item Details
A selection of Chinese wall plaques. The group includes a pair of oblong plaques and a circular plaque. All three are made of wood panels painted black and decorated to mimic lacquer and inlay. The resin embellishments and backgrounds are hand-painted. The oblong panels feature arrangements of flowering branches in ornate vases while the circular plaque depicts three ladies in a garden setting. The backgrounds are infilled with scenery picked out in gold tone paint. Each plaque has hardware and a ‘Made in China’ sticker on the reverse.
Condition
- tacky white residue on top center of one oblong piece, on verso of other two pieces; hanger broken on one oblong piece; scratches and scuffs on wood of each decoration; adhesive residue on resin pieces on round decoration.
