A 1950s Walt Disney Alice in Wonderland marionette by Peter Puppet Playthings. This vintage composition marionette depicts Walt Disney’s version of Alice from Lewis Carroll’s Alice in Wonderland. She features molded blonde hair, hand-painted blue eyes, and a working mouth. Alice is clad in a blue dress and white apron over wooden legs painted with white stockings and black shoes. A solid piece of composite board acts as a crossbar and holds the black puppeteer strings. The marionette presents in the original yellow Peter Puppet Playthings packaging with depictions of Alice, The March Hare, and The Mad Hatter to the front.
