An original signed Abstract Expressionistic oil on canvas still life by listed artist Morris Katz (Polish-American, 1932-2010). The work depicts a vase of orange and yellow daisies set upon a white table with cheese and fruits, all set against a dramatic black background. The work is rendered with energetic and quick brushstrokes and an impasto application of paint. The piece is signed and dated to the lower edge. The painting is displayed in a black metal frame with silver metal filet, wired to the back for wall hanging.
