A large collection of loose black and white photographs from the Huntly Carter Archive of Early 20th Century Film and Theater. Some movies of note, The Hunch Back of Notre Dame, The Lion in Winter, The Thirteenth Chair, Dirigible, High Treason_, Gone with the Wind_, The Front page, _ Hit Parade of 1943_, a lobby card from Shaw’s play, _ Caesar and Cleopatra_ and many more movie stills from early ‘talkies’. Plus, a March 27, 1923 Manchester Guardian newsprint clip and drawing entitled. The Death of Madam Sarah Bernhardt and another newspaper clip from 1931 about Charlie Chaplin. Plus, a 1930 letter from Fox Film Company London to Huntly Carter with enclosed still photos from The Last of the Duanes, The Big Trail and Sight and Sound.
Condition
Mostly in good shape consistent with age. The lobby card is torn and some items are curled and yellowed.
