A 1989 limited edition Charles Bragg copper sculpture, titled Judgment Day, manufactured by Dyansen Corporation. This Surrealist sculpture depicts a bearded judge about to hammer his gavel, as multiple heads including a devil’s emerge from his forehead in a stacked, interlocked formation. A bird perches at the judge’s podium, overlooking a man pleading while kneeling below. Inscribed to the base is a signature, date, manufacturer and edition number, listed 109 of 275. To the underside is supportive felt.

American artist and illustrator Charles Bragg is acclaimed for his satirical portraits and caricatures that combine humor and social critique of American society. He has been commissioned by several publications such as The Center Magazine, Playboy Magazine, and Ramparts Magazine. In 1986, PBS produced a documentary about the artist titled Charles Bragg – One of a Kind. His work has been collected and exhibited by numerous institutions including the Long Beach Museum of Art, the Dayton Art Institute, and the Albrecht Museum of Art, among many others.
