An early 20th century black and white photograph of the American Mickey Mouse from the movie, When the Cat’s Away courtesy of Ideal Films. This photo and the complementary 16 mm film ‘film library’ catalog sheet from Walt Disney are from the Huntly Carter Archives of Early 20th Century Film and Theater. On the back of the photograph, a pencil inscription appears, ‘Illustration of the use of dynamic live drawing on one of the oldest methods of motion picture. Return to Huntly Carter.’
