Item Details
A selection of Russian Soviet era postcards, propaganda postcards and a small pamphlet printed in 1934. This small booklet/pamphlet is titled Detskoye Selo Parks and Palaces and it is formerly known as Tsarskoye Selo, one of the former Romanov residences south of St. Petersburg, Russia, It is printed in English with the objective of distribution to foreign tourists. Plus, a group of sixteen black and white postcards depict Catherine’s Palace, Tsarskoye Selo and the Summer Palace- some of cards have pencil notes on the back. Lastly, three Soviet era postcards depicting various men of Soviet regime round out the item.
