1940 Letter from Michael Redgrave to Herbert Marshall

A 1940 typed letter to Herbert Marshall from legendary British film and stage actor, director and writer, Michael Redgrave (1908- 1985). Redgrave played the role of Charleston in Marshall’s production of Robert Ardrey’s play, ThunderRock. The letter refers to the theatres in which the play was performed, The Neighbourhood and The Globe, as well as his role as Charleston. It is signed in black ink simply,’ Mike’ and it is typed on the actor’s personal stationary. Redgrave edited the letter with black ink and added a handwritten note to the end.
