1928 Edition of "The Silver Tassie" and 1950 Letter by Sean O'Casey

A 1928 hardcover edition of the play, The Silver Tassie A Tragi-Comedy in Four Acts by Sean O’Casey (1880-1964) , published by MacMillan and Co., London. There is a pencil inscription on the endpaper in the Russian language. Also, a typed 1950 letter from the playwright to Herbert Marshall is also included. The letter is signed in blue ink, ‘Sean O’Casey’. The letter refers to the loss of George Bernard Shaw (GBS), ‘….it is a great loss that G.B.S. is no longer with us; in the body, that is, though in spirit he will stay a long time, if the militant workers know what is good for them.’
