1940 - 1944 Correspondences from Tyrone Guthrie

A collection of letters and correspondences from acclaimed British director, Tyrone (Tory) Guthrie (1900 -1971) and Herbert Marshall during the period of 1940-1941. Most of the communication is on Sadler’s Wells Letterhead and they are signed in ink, ‘Tory G’. Some of the letters have comments about Marshall’s political views and causing trouble.
