A typed letter from Senator Robert Kennedy (1925- 1968) dated April 3, 1967 on United States Senate stationary to Professor Herbert Marshall at the School of Communications Southern Illinois University. The letter expressed the Senator’s appreciation for Marshall’s gift of a Russian poetry book and his kind words regarding the Senator’s late brother, President J.F. Kennedy. It is signed with a personalized initialed message, ’ My best to you, RFK’. This letter was written approximately one year before his June 1968 assassination.
