1902 Souvenir Program Illustrated by Edward Gordon Craig from his Theatre

A 1902 souvenir program titled Acis & Galatea and Masque of Love as produced at the great Queen Street Theatre, March 10, 1902. Illustrated with 19 drawings by Edward Gordon Craig (1876 -1966) who as Stage Director also created the scenery, costumes and set designs for the production. The program has heavy brown paper front and back covers printed with black ink. Plus, one black and white early 20th century postcard, Le Masque and a small pamphlet from Italy entitled, The Mask An Illustrated Journal of the Art of the The Theatre. All three items within this lot are from the Edward Gordon Craig Archive of Herbert Marshall. This item is a companion to item number 18DCC083-132 in this sale.

Condition

Consistent with age and use. One illustration in the program is torn. Some foxing and stains within the program.
