A pair of vintage Bill Schiffer earrings and a brooch with Swarovski crystals. The earrings feature colorful accents throughout over clear plastic leading to the four dangles on each earring. The brooch features a center faceted oval foilbacks surrounded by colored plastic accents affixed to a black oval ground with three graduating dangles. These pieces are hand signed ‘B Schffer ©’ with the year 1989.

Born in New York, Bill Schiffer rose to prominence as a painter and sculptor in the early 1980’s. Though he still works in many two dimensional and three dimensional art mediums, Schiffer is most well known for his unique handcrafted jewelry, which he started designing after a foray experimenting with wearable art in the fashion scene. Bill Schiffer’s art and jewelry has been shown in the Victoria and Albert Museum in London, the Musee des Arts Decoratifs in Paris, as well as major museums in Italy, Japan, Germany and the United States. His work has been featured in publications including Vogue, Elle, Bazaar, Women’s Wear Daily, Seventeen and Cosmopolitan.
