S. Christensen Oil on Canvas Painting of English Cottages
Item Details
An oil painting on canvas signed by S. Christensen. This antique to vintage painting depicts a small town square of Cotswold style cottages. They are overhung with large trees that cast mottled light over the front of one house. The piece is signed to the lower right corner ‘S. Christensen’ and is presented in a gold tone frame with wire to the verso.
Condition
-heavy craquelure to canvas, especially among the trees
-small areas of finish loss
-foxing and signs of age to verso
-some finish blemishes to frame
