Vintage LE Smith "Bittersweet Orange" Glass Compote
Item Details
A vintage glass compote by LE Smith in the Bittersweet Orange pattern. This covered vessel features a fluted knob finial whose form is mirrored in the curvilinear body and round foot. The piece is composed of opaque glass which shades from apricot to tangerine, swirled with hints of caramel. The LE Smith Glass Company was founded in 1907 by Louis E. Smith in Jeannette, Pennsylvania. They produced the Bittersweet color c. 1960-1973.
