A collection of Medieval brass tomb rubbings on parchment paper. Including are rubbings of various Medieval figures including Sir John Flambard from the Parrish and Borough Church of St. Mary Harrow on the Hill. Also included is a rubbing of Lady Maude and Sir John from Bray, Berkshire. All are presented unframed. These images are relief rubbings taken from commemorative brass plaques found on the tombs of Medieval figures in European churches.
Condition
- foxing; toning; wear around edges; charcoal smudges; adhesive residue; curls up due to being rolled and stored.
