A Buck Roger XZ-31 blued steel toy ‘ray’ gun from Daisy. This toy gun from 1934 is often considered the ‘first’ ray gun toy of its type with the engraved picture of Buck Rogers to the handle. It was a projectile launcher that cocked at the handle and made a loud ‘pop’ when fired. Marked to one side ’Buck Rogers 25th Century DAISY MFG Co., Plymouth, Mich. U.S.A.
