A reproduction painting on a genuine piece of an airplane. Lot includes a sheet of metal fuselage reproduced to resemble a Curtiss P-40 Warhawk fighter plane. It is hand-painted with the iconic ‘shark mouth’ design, which was popularized by the Flying Tigers; a unit of American airmen who volunteered with the air forces of China in the Second World War. The fuselage is pierced by several holes, made to resemble bullet holes.
