Vintage Covington Kentucky Built Metal Parking Meter
Item Details
A vintage metal parking mete built by ‘Michaels Art Bronze Co., Covington Ky.’ Cut off from its original base, this vintage parking outdoor meter is constructed of heavy durable steel material. Featuring its original gray paint. this roadside meter was distributed by ‘ML-CO. Cincinnati Ohio Montreal P.O.’ Designed as a ‘2 Hour’ parking limit, the original wind mechanism on the front is present. The original glass windows shield is retained depicting a parker’s awarded time. This window is showing the red plate ‘Violation’ sign on both sides. Circa 1950s, this art deco style industrial collectible stands on its own and could be affixed to a base if desired.
Condition
Good Condition. The meter was tested and does accept nickels. Metal has pitting wear. There are nickles still enclosed. Original metal hardware attached. Edge and surface age wear. This parking meter displays well and exhibits service wear. This meter was outside and is weather worn. One side of the glass has scratches. Glass is not broken.
Dimensions
The measurements reflect the size of the meter while standing.
