1930s Mexican Folk Art Hand Painted Tile

Item Details

A 1930s Mexican hand painted buff terra cotta pictorial tile. The tile is designed with a cream background populated with tangerine trefoil flowers, with an indigo blue pond to the foreground with black scalloped edge, framed with indigo blue yucca plants and orange red and navy palmated ferns. A spotted deer dances to the side of the water. The tile is bordered in a deep navy band. The tile is marked to the verso.
