Antique Photo Albums with Small Assortment of Photographs

A pair of nineteenth century photo albums with a handful of antique photographs. This pair includes: a molded leather album accented with gilt gothic designs and features a metal ring and hook closure in the shape of a horseshoe; a deep plum velvet album with silver toned metal lettering and metal ring and hook closure, marked ’ Patented June 6, 1882, No. 10133’ to the interior rim of the latch. The pages in each album are filled with cream colored pages with gold tone trimmed photograph window cutouts. Only a handful of antique black and white and sepia photographs remain.
Condition
- fair; spine missing to the leather album, but binding still holds; leather cover scratched and significantly worn; album pages have age-relate discoloration and some tearing; horseshoe lock is loose on cover.
- good; wear to the velvet edges and spine; album pages have age-related staining and discoloration with some slight tearing.
