A Royal Doulton Marley’s Ghost character jug. This handmade glazed ceramic Jug depicts the fictional character Jacob Marley from the Charles Dickens’s 1843 novella A Christmas Carol. The handle is in the shape of a boxes and chains. The underside is marked “Royal Doulton, Marley’s Ghost, D7142, Modelled by David Briggs 1999 Royal Doulton Limited Edition of 2500 This is 56”. The piece comes with the original box and a certificate of authenticity.
