A limited edition mixed media print titled Time Square Rhythm by artist Bill Schiffer. This print, rendered primarily in a palette of black, gray and blue pigments, depicts shadowed figures in active positions. It is signed, dated ‘86, and reads ’A.P. 2/20’ by hand in graphite to the lower margins. The print is presented behind a layer of clear protective glazing, in a white plastic frame with a metal hanging wire to the verso.

Born in New York, Bill Schiffer rose to prominence as a painter and sculptor in the early 1980’s. Though he still works in many two dimensional and three dimensional art mediums, Shiffler is most well known for his unique handcrafted jewelry, which he started designing after a foray experimenting with wearable art in the fashion scene. Bill Schiffer’s art and jewelry has been shown in the Victoria and Albert Museum in London, the Musee des Arts Decoratifs in Paris, as well as major museums in Italy, Japan, Germany and the United States. His work has been featured in publications including Vogue, Elle, Bazaar, Women’s Wear Daily, Seventeen and Cosmopolitan.
