Hand-Tufted and Carved Chinese Floral Area Rug

A hand-tufted and carved Chinese area rug. This wool rug features a rose-colored field filled with flowers rendered in shades of tan, pink, powder blue, and mauve with azure blue leaves and stems. The field is framed by compound borders, including a main border grounded in cream and populated with flowers in the same colors and scale as those in the field. The outer guard border is rose. Edges have been serged under a full fabric backing onto which ivory fringe has been sewn at the ends. Unlabeled.
