Early Boardman & Wells Column and Splat Clock

An Early Boardman & Wells column and splat clock. The clock is circa 1830 and is displayed in a well-kept mahogany case with a curved splat with a painted, stencil design and turned and painted side columns with chimney caps. The clock features a divided door with a glass top and a mirrored base that showcase a white face with a gilded and painted floral design surrounded with black Roman numerals and hands and two key arbors. Other features of the clock include a weight driven, wood constructed movement with a time and strike design that will run for thirty hours on a single wind, a brass pendulum and the clock stands on a plinth style wood base. The clock is labeled ‘Boardman & Wells’ on the interior.
