A side chair. This side chair mixes an Eastlake style frame with an arts and crafts style seat and back. The chair boasts mahogany construction with a straight crest rail highlighted by seven small turned spindles above the geometric pattern punched tin style wood backsplat. The chair’s arms feature a beveled edge to the ends with geometric design carving to the sides and front and the chair rail is highlighted with a triangle and scroll skirt. The seat has a star shaped punched tin style wooden inset and the chair rests on turned legs with arrow feet and a box stretcher. The backsplat and seat are held in place by decorative round headed brass tacks and the rear right stile houses two brass rings for a small outdoor umbrella.
