Cedar "Aroma-tite" Chest by Lane

Item Details

A cedar chest with Aroma-tite by Lane Furniture, circa 1929. This long chest has a stained red cedar body, with copper strap hinges and front decorative plate. The front has curved corbels at either end, with the elliptical decorative plate in the center; the chest is raised on curled feet with casters. Inside the lift lid is the Lane brand, a green Aroma-tite sticker, and a law label in the corner. It has a lock and key escutcheon (no key). To the bottom, it is stamped with the style number 2548 and serial number 111829.
