19th Century Hand-painted Bowls and Antique Ashworth Ironstone Platter
Item Details
A selection of tableware including an oval serving platter and two small bowls. The 19th century Chinese porcelain bowls feature hand-painted blue crane and tree designs with linear accents and footed bases. The antique Ashworth ironstone platter offers the transfer printed Chinese Pattern with figures under blossoming trees next to a home with a scalloped border and floral designs to the verge. It has an incised ‘Ashworth’ mark placing production between 1880-1900.
Condition
- could benefit from cleaning; significant stains to underside of bowls, spots to interior; residue to the platter, the ‘blank’ platter has an unfinished hobbyist painted verge with wear, cracks, and staining.
