A hand-knotted Indian Agra Style wool room size rug. This rug is rendered in a palette of black, gold, brick, olive, ivory, silver, and terracotta. The black hued field features large palmettes latticed with flower sprays, lancette leaves, and small bouquets. Framing the field is a simplified herati patterned main border, with four floral meander guard borders in alternating gold and black grounds. Finishing this rug are overcast selvedges and an ivory warp fringe to the ends. Unlabeled.
