Antique Bronze "Egyptian" Floor Lamp

A bronze floor lamp featuring a woman holding a torch with an artichoke shaped globe above her head while pensively looking down. The woman is clad in traditional Egyptian dress with red fringe and the woman’s head is adorned with traditional ancient Egyptian style headwear in green. The lamp is supported by a large round base in green and the woman is adorned with red ankle bracelets. The revival of Egyptian themes saw popularity ca. 1920’s and this piece corresponds to item 18CIN044-264 in this sale.
