Antique Cameo Brooch

Item Details

An antique cameo brooch. This brooch features a bezel set rectangular carved shell cameo. The carving depicts a woman in profile wearing a crown of grape leaves and a classical style dress. Affixed to the back is a chain leading to a safety catch which is indicative of the later half of the 19th century. The shell measures 44.00 mm x 37.00 mm with a ‘C’ clasp to the back.
