19th Century Scottish Maggini Reproduction Violin Outfit
Item Details
An antique violin outfit from Scotland, reproducing a violin by Maggini, dating to the 19th century. It has an ebony tailpiece, chinrest, fingerboard, and pegs. The bow features natural hair and an ebony frog with mother of pearl inlay, and the case is leatherbound with crushed pine-green velvet lining. An interior label reads ‘Edinburgh Anno 1778’.

- significant wear and redrot to case and wear to violin finish; interior label is significantly faded.
