A hand-knotted Persian Kerman area rug. This wool carpet is hand-knotted in a palette of lapis blue, mustard, burgundy, pastel pink, beige, brown, sky blue and coral. It features a large oval shaped medallion with pendants on a deep blue colored field. It is framed with a dense scalloped border of lobbed flowers, leaves, and quatrefoil shapes. Finished with overcast edges and natural warp fringe to either end. Marked to verso ‘Made in Iran’.
