A hand-knotted Persian Tabriz wool room size rug. This rug is rendered in a palette of ivory, pinks, blues, greens, and gold. The ivory colored field begins with a bright pink grounded star medallion with a floral and boteh theme, and featuring the same theme throughout with clusters and arrangements. The field also features vase forms and ornate coordinating spandrels. Framing the field is an elaborate main border of more boteh motifs and floral arrangements, along with similar patterning to the meander guard borders. Finishing this rug are overcast selvedges and an ivory wool warp fringe to the ends. There is a label to the underside.
