Item Details
A hand-knotted and woven Pakistani Baluch wool carpet runner. This rug is rendered in a palette of cranberry, indigo, camel, wine, charcoal, and ivory. The textural field features diamond medallions infilled with cruciform and comb patterns, while framed in hooked partial medallions to the edges. Framing the field is a main stylized floral meander border with running dog style guard borders, along with embroidered barber pole striped to the skirt at each end. Finishing the rug are double overcast selvedges and a short gray/brown wool warp fringe to the ends. Labeled to the underside.
