A mixed media painting on canvas of an abstract scene by listed New York artist Louis Papp (born 1930), created in October, 1981. This work features various overlapping irregular forms and various textures covered in purple, pink and brown gestural textures. The painting is signed and dated in ink to the verso. The composition remains unframed.

Louis Papp was a New York based artist known for his abstract, mixed media paintings. He was also a member of the Art Students League, a renowned and respected art school headquartered in Manhattan in the 1970’s and 80’s.
