A gouache painting on paper by American artist Gina Knee (1898-1982). This Modernist style piece depicts a forest of stylized trees in a light, neutral tones. It is signed and dated ‘53’ to the lower right corner and presented behind a white mat and glass in a gilt wood frame with wire to the verso for hanging.
Condition
- mat is stained and discolored; nicks and scratches around the frame.
