A watercolor and ink painting on paper of abstract figures by listed artist David Fredenthal (1914 – 1958). This Expressionist style painting depicts a man clutching at bouquets of flowers with both hands, intensely staring forward as a woman in a patterned dress stands behind him with an exclaimed expression. The composition is rendered with splotches of pigment and loose, gestural brush strokes. To the lower margins is a painted signature, in addition to a personalized note from the artist. The painting is presented under glass in a gold tone wooden frame with hanging wire to the verso.

- to fair; mild to moderate discoloration to image and mat; moderate wear to frame.
