A pair of offset lithographs on paper after lithographs by Maltese lithographer Maxim Gauci (1774-1854) that reproduce botanical illustrations by English illustrator Augusta Innes Withers (1792-1877). These pieces depict different species of orchids and are titled Barkeria spectabilis and Maxillaria skinneri. The lithographer’s name is printed to the lower right and the titles to the lower center, with the original artist attributed on labels to the versos. Each is presented behind a French mat and glass in a gold tone frame with wire to the verso for hanging.
