An oil painting on canvas of an abstract scene by artist Louis Papp (New York; born 1930), dated February 12, 1981. The work is comprised of pastel tones and thick impasto textures. Signed and dated by the artist to the verso. Presented in a wood box frame.
Louis Papp was a New York based artist known for his abstract, mixed media paintings. He was also a member of the Art Students League, a renowned and respected art school headquartered in Manhattan in the 1970’s and 80’s.
