East Asian Style Jewelry Boxes
Item Details
A pairing of Chinese jewelry boxes. The pairing features a Chinese brass box with etched bats to the lid and an overall etched circular design to the square form. The circular and triangular appliques present butterflies, plants, and flowers and the hinged lid opens to a wood-lined interior. It is marked ‘Made in China’ to the underside. Also included is a rectangular maple box with pierced faux stone medallions, etched fish clamps to the corners, and red and white floral fabric lined interior with ring storage slots.
Condition
- wooden jewelry box is missing part of latch and does not close properly close, tarnish and rust to metal, scratches to wood; brass jewelry box could benefit from polishing, tarnish and marks to metal.
