J & G Meakin, Sevres and Bavarian Porcelain Plates with Silver Plate Flatware

Item Details

An assortment of tableware including four porcelain plates and four pieces of flatware. The flatware items include one pierced tomato server, one salad fork and one cocktail fork in the Lady Hamilton pattern by Community (introduced 1932) and one unique ladle. The porcelain feature a Sevres Chateau de St. Cloud cabinet plate depicting a portrait of Mme Du Barry. They are accompanied by three unique floral patterned plates including one by J & G Meakin with a post-1912 ‘Sol’ and sun face hallmark. Also included are two Bavarian plates including one in the Louvre series by Thomas & Ens (mark used between 1905-1908) and one marked ‘Germany’. Most of the items bear hallmarks to the undersides.

- minor surface wear to plates; surface wear including scratches and overall tarnish to the silver plate items.
