A Kister Elizabeth Vigee LeBrun and her Daughter porcelain figurine. The figurine taken from the 1789 painting titled Self-portrait with her Daughter portrays the artist, Elisabeth Vigee LeBrun (1755-1842) hugging her daughter. The detailed figurine is sculpted in white porcelain bisque and mounted on a square base etched in script ‘Madame Lebrun et sa Fille’. The figurine is marked to the underside with and impressed mark of crossed through ‘S’ mark as well as an applied blue plaque displaying the same mark and numbered ‘9073’. The marks used on this figurine were reserved for art pieces from the Porzellanmaufactur H.W.F Kistner produced between 1925 and 1945.
