A semi-antique hand-knotted Persian Zanjan area rug. This rug featrues a saffron colored central diamond shaped medallion with scarlet, rose, sage green and navy floral decorations and a sawtooth border on a scarlet field. The lozenge shaped field is filled with an array of floral designs in a complementary pallette and finished with spandrels that mirror the central medallion. The rug is framed with a black primary border flanked by olive guard borders, all with floral decorations. The rug is finished with a natural cotton warp fringe and is unmarked.
