A first American edition copy of The Face of the World by Cecil Beaton. This hardcover book on blue cloth covered board features photos of mid-century celebrities and artists. The book is signed and dedicated as a Christmas gift by Tennessee Williams to director Elia Kazan. The book was published by the John Day Company and is undated, but circa mid 1950’s.
