Russel Wright Steubenville "American Modern" and Sterling China Tableware

A collection of tableware designed by Russel Wright. This collection features six Suede Gray luncheon plates made for Sterling China (first introduced 1948). Each is marked ‘Sterling China by Russel Wright’ to the undersides. Also included are a pair of salt and pepper shakers with cork plugs and fourteen flat teacups in the American Modern Granite Gray pattern made for Steubenville (produced 1939 – 1959).

Condition

- surface wear and markings to items; there is a chip to one plate, one shaker is cracked; crazing and discoloration to several cups.
