A hand knotted Persian Mashad area rug. This woolen rug features an elaborate central floral medallion in olive green and slate blue with cream colored outlines against a red field filled with floral Arabesques. The corner spandrels mirror the central medallion. The rug is framed with a compound border with a navy blue primary band flanked by cream and slate blue bands on each side, all with floral vine decorations. Rug has small natural cotton warp fringe on the ends.
